FAQs

What are your qualifications?

I currently have 95 hours of Lactation specific education which is the amount of lactation specific education needed to sit for the IBCLC Exam. I received my CLE from Cal State Northridge and had to pass 2 exams to get certified. As a CLE I can provide lactation education, assessment and management. I

I do not have my IBCLC - in order to be able to take the IBCLC exam I am completing 500 clinical hours, which as you can imagine takes some time.

I have my Bachelors in Communication Studies and my Masters in Organizational Psychology.

I am very passionate about continued education - I try to enroll is many certifications and education such as bottle feeding, tongue tie, and postpartum holistic nutrition.

I also have 3 children that I breastfed. I have been through issues during pregnancy and delivery, mastitis, low supply, over supply engorgement, pain, lots of emotions you name it !

Thankfully I had lactation consultants help me through my journey and I want to help other families feel confident in theirs.

Why are all your visits virtual?

I have 3 kids of my own and am still breastfeeding my youngest, doing virtual consults allows me the opportunity to work while still being there for my family.

Is payment due when i book?

Yes, full payment is required when you book. Breastfeeding Visits are Non-Refundable. However, you can transfer your payment to another service.

If you must cancel your visit please contact us by email immediately so we can discuss which service to transfer your payment to.

Please note: If you do not contact us to reschedule your visit in writing, you are responsible for the entire payment.

There may be an occasion where, due to a circumstance beyond my control, a consultation may have to be rescheduled.

In this case we do not offer a refund. Instead, you will be contacted immediately and offered  alternative dates for your consultation.

Do you accept insurance?

I do not currently accept any insurance plans.

How many consultations will i need?

That really depends on the reason you are being seen. Some issues/concerns can be addressed in one consult with plan of care, while others may need an actual follow up consultation. I will never advise more than what is needed but know that new concerns can arise and I am always here for follow up consults for existing clients should you need them.
